How this sod calculator works
Lawn area is length × width, waste is added for trimming and fit, then the total is divided by the coverage per pallet.
How to use it
- Lawn length. Enter the value in ft.
- Lawn width. Enter the value in ft.
- Waste allowance. Enter the value in %.
- Coverage per pallet. Enter the value in sq ft.
- Request the result. Add your email, then select “Email & show my result.”
What to do with the number
The calculator rounds pallets up, because sod normally cannot be purchased as a fraction of a pallet at bulk quantities. Pallet coverage varies by farm and sod type. Replace the default with the exact coverage on your supplier quote.
