How this fence picket calculator works
Fence length is converted to inches and divided by picket width plus the planned gap. Waste is applied before rounding up to a whole picket.
How to use it

- Picket width. Enter the value in in.
- Gap between pickets. Enter the value in in.
- Waste allowance. Enter the value in %.

What to do with the number
The estimate assumes a continuous run and does not automatically subtract gate openings. If you have large gates, subtract their clear opening from total fence length before calculating.
