How this tile calculator works
Surface area is converted to square inches and divided by the effective tile module (tile size plus grout gap). Waste is added, then pieces and boxes are rounded up.
How to use it

- Surface width. Enter the value in ft.
- Tile length. Enter the value in in.
- Tile width. Enter the value in in.
- Grout gap. Enter the value in in.
- Waste allowance. Enter the value in %.
- Request the result. Add your email, then select “Email & show my result.”
What to do with the number
Use piece count for layout planning and box count for purchasing. The formula is an area estimate, so edge cuts can still change real waste. Measure each separate wall or floor section when the space is irregular and add the totals before ordering.
