How this concrete footing calculator works
Each footing’s rectangular volume is calculated, multiplied by the number of identical footings, increased for waste and converted from cubic feet to cubic yards.
How to use it
- Length per footing. Enter the value in ft.
- Footing width. Enter the value in in.
- Footing depth. Enter the value in in.
- Number of footings. Enter the value that applies to your situation.
- Waste allowance. Enter the value in %.
- Request the result. Add your email, then select “Email & show my result.”
What to do with the number
This covers material volume only. Reinforcing steel, excavation, code requirements and soil conditions are separate design questions. Measure the formed dimensions rather than the nominal lumber dimensions used to create the form.
Use this result as a starting point, not a guarantee. Product specifications, site conditions, manufacturer guidance, local codes, taxes, labor, tolerances, and rounding can change the real requirement or cost.
