How this brick calculator works

Wall face area is divided by the effective brick module: brick face dimensions plus mortar joint. Waste is added and the result is rounded up.

How to use it

  2. Wall height. Enter the value in ft.
  3. Brick face length. Enter the value in in.
  4. Brick face height. Enter the value in in.
  5. Mortar joint. Enter the value in in.
  6. Waste allowance. Enter the value in %.

What to do with the number

Openings are not automatically deducted, which provides a conservative estimate for smaller windows and doors. For walls with large openings, subtract their square footage from wall area before using the calculator by adjusting the wall dimensions or calculating sections separately.
