How this packing tape calculator works
Box count × feet of tape per box gives base tape length. Extra allowance is added before dividing by feet per roll.
How to use it
- Boxes. Enter the value that applies to your situation.
- Tape used per box. Enter the value in ft.
- Tape per roll. Enter the value in ft.
- Extra allowance. Enter the value in %.

What to do with the number
Reinforcing bottoms, re-taping reused boxes and labeling with tape can increase usage. If you use an H-tape method on both top and bottom, choose a higher feet-per-box input than a single center seam.
Use this result as a starting point, not a guarantee. Product specifications, site conditions, manufacturer guidance, local codes, taxes, labor, tolerances, and rounding can change the real requirement or cost.
