How this screen ppi calculator works
Pixel diagonal is √(horizontal² + vertical²). Pixels per inch equals pixel diagonal ÷ physical diagonal inches.
How to use it
- Horizontal resolution. Enter the value in pixels.
- Vertical resolution. Enter the value in pixels.
- Screen diagonal. Enter the value in in.
- Request the result. Add your email, then select “Email & show my result.”
What to do with the number
Higher PPI means smaller pixels at the same viewing distance, but perceived sharpness also depends on distance and eyesight. Compare PPI only when resolution and screen size are both known.
Use this result as a starting point, not a guarantee. Product specifications, site conditions, manufacturer guidance, local codes, taxes, labor, tolerances, and rounding can change the real requirement or cost.
