How this ceiling fan electricity cost calculator works
Ceiling-fan energy use is fan watts ÷ 1,000 × daily operating hours. The monthly and annual kWh totals are multiplied by your electricity rate.

What to do with the number
Fan speed, motor efficiency and whether a light kit is included can materially change wattage, so use the power draw for the speed you normally use. If the fan has an integrated light, calculate the fan and light separately unless the wattage input already includes both.
