How this toll + fuel trip cost calculator works
Fuel cost is distance ÷ MPG × fuel price. Tolls and parking are then added to get the transportation total.
How to use it
- Trip distance. Enter the value in miles.
- Fuel economy. Enter the value in MPG.
- Fuel price. Enter the value in $/gal.
- Tolls. Enter the value in $.
- Parking. Enter the value in $.
- Request the result. Add your email, then select “Email & show my result.”
What to do with the number
The total excludes depreciation, maintenance and other ownership costs unless you account for them separately. For route comparisons, calculate each route with its actual tolls and distance rather than assuming the shortest route is cheapest.
Use this result as a starting point, not a guarantee. Product specifications, site conditions, manufacturer guidance, local codes, taxes, labor, tolerances, and rounding can change the real requirement or cost.
