How this annual vehicle ownership cost calculator works
Annual non-fuel costs are added to annual fuel cost, which equals miles ÷ MPG × fuel price. The total is also divided by annual miles for a per-mile estimate.

What to do with the number
Loan interest, parking and tolls are excluded unless you add them to one of the cost fields. Run the calculator before and after a major vehicle change to compare the full ownership impact rather than only the payment.
